We enthusiastically endorsed the MME’s invitation to hold a 2-day-technical-workshop in Windhoek, Namibia, for the Namibian professionals at NAMCOR and MME. It took place in June 2019.
The workshop was guided by our Senior Scientist, Michele Armano, PhD. His presentation had an accent on the technical aspects ,challenges and outcome of the passive seismic spectroscopy study, which was recently carried out by Geodynamics WorldWide over MEL’s licence in the Owambo basin.
The workshop comprised also of a Q&A session, allowing not only for answering questions, but also sparkled interesting technical discussions between expects.
The second part of the workshop was a field trip with the electromagnetic seismometers, which were deployed in the passive seismic acquisition. One of our field operators Silas Jesaya conducted this hands-on part to demonstrate the operative side of the instruments and their setup in the field.
We were honoured to welcome many professionals, mostly from Namcor and MME, to exchange knowledge and ideas with them, to get connected for future initiatives under the umbrella of this workshop. We also thank Geodynamics WorldWide GWW.
